The Christian value of hope lies in the belief that God will never abandon his people. We learn that hope generates energy and gives us confidence: it sustains us through difficult times. ‘Hope’ in the Bible means ‘a strong and confident expectation.’

The first letter of Peter tells us that God has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead. Ultimately, hope is an attitude of mind that we develop through faith in God and each other. 

From tiny beginnings, we at the Skylark Federation hope that we can all make changes for the better, improving ourselves, our community and the world in which we live. We believe that hope has a positive impact on children’s lives. It gives them a feeling of optimism and energy to do their best.
